As a proud member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints I would like to share a few things with you today....
At my church 12-18 year old girls are 'Young Women' and within this 'section' we have a book. But not just any book, a Personal Progress Book (well actually two if you count the Personal Progress Journal that goes with it).
I would like to share some of the things I have previously wrote in my Personal Progress Journal, but first I will explain a bit more about what Personal Progress is....
There 8 different values in Young Women's; Faith... Divine Nature... Individual Worth... Knowledge...Choice and Accountability... Good Works... Integrity... Virtue.
For each value (except virtue) you complete 6 different value experiences (such as reading the scriptures, service etc.) then once you have done all the value experiences you complete a value project that takes ten hours plus and is related to that value.
On virtue, you have to complete 4 value experiences as well as reading The Book Of Mormon and writing your testimony on it.
Well, hopefully you are still reading, because now you can read a few things I have wrote in the past 8 months that I have picked out specially... (and just remember, this is coming from a twelve year old girl)...
Patient- Something someone is. If you are patient you are able to endure trouble without getting angry and you can wait for things you want/need.
If you are loving and righteous you will be able to teach your children about it. You can love your husband and be a righteous women.
I have realised how many worthwhile qualities the people involved in my everyday life have; and I see this as a great blessing.
Because our Father is a king we are all princesses and princes, we are all royalty.
If we strive to improve the divine qualities we were born with, one day we will gain our happily ever after with our families.
Well that's all for now, there will be more in the future. I hope I have touched or inspired at least a few readers.

What a nice post to read on a Sunday! When I was a YW leader some time ago I achieved my personal progress goals since I joined the church later in life. I learned so much from that about goal setting and persistence and really value the accomplishment. I put the gold badge on a bracelet to wear.
Nice to meet you, Ruth. You're personal value booklet certainly highlights the best aspects of us all.
