'I'go Passes ♥

As of 16th May 2011 every 11-16 year old in Greater Manchester will need an 'igo pass' to be able to pay a child's fare on any bus in our area.

Disadvantages
-It costs £5 to get this pass (plus £5 for photo!)
-Plus money for the picture you have to have on it
-The bus fare is also going up drastically, from 80p to around £1
-If you forget your pass one day, you have to pay adult fare

Advantages
-It may stop young people being naughty on the bus, as you have your 'pass' taken off you for bad behaviour
-People who may have previously been identified as over 16 will have proof of their age and be able to get on for child's fare.

Well, well, well! What a rip off! I see the thought behind it, and everything that has been planned into it, but having to pay for a necessary pass and raising bus fare by quite a bit all at once is A LOT to ask!

If you live in Greater Manchester and are of the correct age, you can find the online form  to get your pass here. I've sent off for my now and the bus prices have gone up to £1.20 for a school bus (from 80p)!

What is this world coming to?!

Hmmm... what do you think?
