I have really struggled whilst pondering what to write about today under the letter 'b'! Yes, there is always the option of ball, book, blog etc. but I wanted today's post to be one that means something to me. So I hopelessly searched my brain for ideas then decided to look in my new journal at what I had wrote so far and came across the notes from today's Young Women's Broadcast that was at my church. As I looked through, the word 'benevolent' really stood out to me, and not just because it began with a 'b'! So here goes........
In the words of Sister Mary N Cook "We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men. This beautiful list of Christlike attributes, found in the thirteenth article of faith, will prepare us for temple blessings and eternal life. I would like to focus on just one of these words- benevolent. Benevolent is a lovely word that we don't hear very often. Its roots are Latin, and it means "to wish someone well". To be benevolent is to be kind, well meaning, and charitable.

Benevolence means a lot to me and I hope that through Sister Cook's words, I have helped in it meaning a lot to you.
The main thing I learnt today was that we need to share our benevolence through acts of kindness.... so go on... go and be kind!
P.S. Sorry for it being quite late again, I promise that it will be early on Monday!
