I've heard a couple of poems about 'hands' and I have seen a beautiful picture. So today I would like to share them with you.......
Daddy's Hand
Her hands are soft and small,
And they can't hold much at all.
Her nails are painted rainbow,
And they can't hold much at all.
Her nails are painted rainbow,
Hurt and sorrow they don't know.
Little plastic rings on each finger,
On new surfaces they linger.
Her young hands know no pain,
Hands cupped to catch rain.
Trying to grasp what she doesn't understand,
This girl's little hands.
His hands are large and rough,
They know of pain and love.
Calloused but full of care,
That takes away breaths of despair.
His hands are tough and stained,
Scars show all types of pain.
They comfort her from fear,
Gently they wipe away her tears.
Showing what she can't understand,
This man's rough hands.
No one else will ever understand,
A girl's feeling in her daddy's hands.

Ten Tiny Fingers
Ten tiny fingers, that always want to play,
That never stop exploring that wonder of today,
Ten tiny fingers, that from the very start,
Will reach out for tomorrow yet always hold your heart.
